Simon says stamp october card kit

Hi and happy Sunday,

A few weeks ago I started a subscription on the monthly card kit from Simon says stamp.
This weekend I have been playing with my first kit, the october kit. It's great, love everything in it.

I made two cards.

The first card I made using this weeks sketch at clean and simple stamping.

The paper, stamp, sentiment and twine all came from the Simon says stamp october kit.
I'm not a very good stamper. On this card I used Ranger Distress Markers on the stamps.

  3. http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.nl/2013/10/wood-trees-or-leaves.html

For my second card I used this weeks sketch at sketch saturday.

Everything is from the october kit, except for the acorn, that is a free digital stamp I colored in Photoshop. I love the paper and the sequins on this card.

Halloween

Hi,

I think I've made 3 halloween cards this year but actually we don't celebrate Halloween at all.
It not a real big thing here in the Netherlands (although it is growing in popularity).
It is mostly celebrated in primary schools, there are some halloween parties around, the occasional house is decorated
and in some neighbourhoods kids go trick or treat but not here in our street.

But I did make another Halloween card, my last one this year.
It is a simple one using wobbly eyes, cardstock and jute in Halloween colors.

The sentiment I made of a halloween kit from design by Dani.

I'm entering this card in the next challenges:

Thank you for stopping by. Have a good weekend.

Neon Christmas

Hello and welcome,

I wanted to make something different for a Christmas card.
The idea came from reading (and watching the video) from Jess Larsen on the Simon says stamp blog.
There you can watch the full tutorial from start to finish.
I made is more clean and simple card using black and white with neon.
Instead of the sequins Jess used on her card, I used hotfix neon colored stones.
The chain and top of the bauble I made using Photoshop, then printed on the cardstock.

The idea from the sentiment I got from llhdesigns blog. I used that same font to make my sentiment.
The bows are scoubidou ropes.
I love the neon colors and clean style of this card.

Gingerbreadman

Hi,

It's a beautiful day here in the Netherlands, more than 20 degrees Celsius (68 F).
Bright blue skies and fall colored leaves on the trees,

it sure is a pretty sight.

I rotated the sketch and made this card ..

The gingerbreadman is a digital from Pink Cat Studio. I colored the digi in Photoshop.
Paper is from First Edition, Stocking Fillers. I made the sentiment myself, added a little gingerbreadmen embellishment.

Featured

Hello and happy Sunday,

This past week one of my cards (Heartsy Mae in ombre style) was featured in the sidebar at some odd girl and another card,
"Howdy Y'all" was featured at Outlawz challenges. That is so great.

A few weeks ago Claire from Trimcraft asked me to make a project using First Edition Neroli Paper and Embellishments.
Yesterday the article I wrote about that project was posted on Trimcraft.

I made wooden word signs into homeware using the Neroli paper and embellishments.
If you are interested you can find the full article here.

It is a good feeling that some of my creative projects can be an inspiration to others. It makes me feel proud of myself
(and that is something I don't say easily).

Have a nice Sunday and see you soon.

Circus card

Hi,

I came down with the flu last night, so I quick post today before I'm off to bed.

I'm always searching the internet for cute printables, digital stamps, paper and so on.
A great source for these things is Pinterest and there I found the image on my next card.
In my eyes it is just to cute.  Isn't it?
The image is FREE from Handmade harbour.

I colored the digital using Photoshop. This time I didn't add shadows or depth to the image,
just kept it plain.

The background paper and sentiment I made using Photoshop and Word.
I Added 3 enamel dots from MME.
For the sketch I used the october sketch at Artful delight.

Cute Kawaii Donut

Hello and welcome,

Kawaii images make me smile! They are so cute.

So I made a card looking like a sweet kawaii donut.

I cut out the round shapes in brown, pink and glitter paper using my cuttlebug. The kawaii face is actually a free font called Kawaii eyes.
On the white circle on the inside I printed "something to smile about". Added two buttons and enamel dew drops as cheeks.

It's a simple card but very effective. Great card for a little girl.

I'm entering this card in the next challenges:

Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by.

You make me smile

Hi and happy friday,

Ombre hair style is still a big trend this year and I think it looks very cool (although I don't have it myself).
For my next card I colored the hair of my digital image in ombre style using Photoshop.

For the colors I choose this fall color trends.
Using Photoshop I made the green ombre background and the emerald piece
also in ombre style. It is easy to make with a gradient fill.

The digital image is Heartsy Mae from Some Odd girl.
I made the sentiment in Word and added a pin.
Here another photo with a black background.
